Stitch Like Crazy! with Cathy Callan
Have you ever wondered how the Victorians completed all those fancy stitches?  Or maybe you’re looking for a new way to burn thru some of your stash?! In this class series, you’ll learn how to do quick crazy quilting on a small (or not so small) table topper.  During this three-month class series, Cathy will discuss fabric choices (wool friendly!), crazy quilt block design and how to embellish with those fancy stitches, buttons, lace, beads, ribbon, etc. I could go on and on but well, you get the idea!  This introduction to stitching is perfect for those just starting out as well as those that could use a “refresher”!  You can register online or stop by the shop and see a sample!

October 25, November 15 and December 13
10:30am-12:30pm
Class-Series fee: $35

New goodies for fall sewing!

Check out these gorgeous bark cloth prints from Hoffman Fabrics - they are kinda retro, and kinda mod - what do you want to make with this great substrate?!

And we have several pieces from the latest Charley Harper collection from Birch Fabrics.  These are a beautiful organic poplin base fabric combined with fabulous birds in his signature minimalist style.

And the most recent issue of Quiltfolk is available for sale - This is a great issue with a focus on Hawaii and the history of quilting in Hawaii.  Lots to learn and some beautiful photographs and art showcasing the region.  We'll be able to reserve a copy for you starting with the next issue if you'd like to pick up a copy rather than subscribe for home delivery.  Let us know if you'd like to reserve a copy of 04 Tennessee that will be available in just a few weeks.

And the latest issue of Quilt Sampler is available now!  Plan your next road trip to one of these destination quilt shops!

Happy stitching - it's time, the rain has arrived!
