New Class!

T-Shirt Quilts ReImagined

Think you have seen everything when it comes to T-shirt quilts? Think again…there can be much, much more creativity to it than simple blocks and sashing. Local quilter Paula Graham lets the shirts direct her design when she makes T-shirt quilts, and she’ll be here at Two Thimbles sharing tips and techniques during a two-part, lecture style class.

  • The first session will outline the planning process, taking such factors into consideration as size and use of your finished project, as well as a discussion on deciding which T-shirts to use and how to prepare them. There will also be time spent on choosing complementary materials.

  • The second session will focus on learning to build your quilt from basic blocks and inset blocks, including a photo discussion of the process, samples in progress and a conversation about goal-setting.

  • After that, it’s up to you to apply what you learn to finish your quilt. Paula will be available for individual consultations (fee separate from cost of class) as you proceed with your project!

Class dates: Part 1 will be held on Thursday, August 15th, and Part 2 will be held on Thursday, August 22nd. Both sessions will run from 1-3 pm. Cost: $50.

Below are some photos of sample quilts...there are tons of possibilities!
