This Pies n' Tarts work-in-progress is coming along...it is a slow process, perfect for savoring the luxury of time for hand-stitching. It is growing row by row and I 've got a few few more tarts to applique down and another few circles ready to put onto blocks. Watch for more in 2015!

Tree of Life Palampore Panel

reproduction is an excellent example of a typical Palampore hand painted in
England ca. 1775. It combines a complex and elaborate design depicting
a wide variety of plants, flowers and birds. The “tree of life” motif is
typical of most palampores and is used as a symbol to celebrate birth, marriage
and special occasions.
