Stash Rolls Out and New Fabric In!

Yep...back to school and all that comes with that time of year, including more sewing time perhaps with rainy days in our future we hope!  The latest issue of Quilt Sampler is here - a great way to plan a road trip or find a new destination for sure.  We are wrapping up the last couple of days of the RowXRow event, and are waiting to hear what theme is planned for next year.

We are getting the sewing season off to a great start with a 2nd release of the 1800's Stash rolls - our initial release of these was pretty popular and it seems like a good time to clean house again.  These are available til they're gone and we've made a few with some brighter colors (chrome yellow, poison green, cheddar...etc.) as well as several in more traditional reproduction colors.  We have them on the website for those of you who can't stop by the store and make a personal selection.  If you want to order online, and are partial to a particular color or flavor leave us a comment on your order and we'll do our best to meet your request.

These 1800's Stash rolls are the last of some favorite bolts of fabric and are the perfect way to build a scrappy project and enhance your stash!  Six inch wide strips of twelve different fabrics...yep that's 2 yards of fun and perfect for those of you who like to shop ahead to make sure your Christmas stocking is full!

And while we've been digging through our scraps, we've been adding to our shelves - there is is new division of P and B Textiles called Washington Street Studio and their first collections look great on the shelf!  These two collections offer a nice variety of print, including some lovely ugly stripes and great geometric prints - great tones of red, brown, pink and harvest gold.  Perfect for an autumn quilt!

And of course, we just received a dozen new bolts of batiks and a few odds n' ends that could be just the addition your project needs!  A few precuts are available to go with some of these and there are certainly some great motifs that would make fabulous aprons and table runners or perhaps a new tote bag or camera bag (reel time?)!  could be good for all kinds of sewing projects.

And with the sewing season upon us, starting this coming Sunday, September 13th we'll be open from noon - 4pm so you can stop by any day of the week!

Happy Stitching!

  1. Love the new fabrics pictured above! Those reds, browns and golds are lovely. Sounds like you have a lot going on and I've been too busy to keep up. Hope I can make it in to see these beauties in person...real soon.
