As our suppliers are starting to resume shipping schedules we are starting to see new fabric arrivals and that feels great!!  Customers have been sharing their quarantine accomplishments with us and that is great!  We are looking forward to moving into a future that involves more conversation with others (from a safe distance of course!), some new projects and some fresh finishes....hope to see you soon (can't wait to see what fabric choices everyone has picked for their mask!).

It's been fun to be more involved in customers fabric selections when requests come in via phone or email!  Some color descriptions and requests are harder to interpret or deliver on...failed to locate specific sports team requests, motorscooters and dental related fabric this past week.  But had a few successes too.  This group of textured black, grey and white was chosen for a pet portrait project - I channeled Hazel (another customer's dog!) for this selection.

And another package that was shipped out included this fabulous Di Ford focal fabric and some gorgeous coordinates.  We will be getting the last collection designed by Di Ford sometime mid-summer, the release has been delayed a bit with her recent passing.  We will certainly remember her well through these many fabrics and projects created with them.

 The latest issue of Quilt Sampler has just arrived - if you need a copy, call for curbside pick-up and we can add one to your bag!  A bit of a chance to do some armchair travel and feel like you're out exploring a new quilt shop!

And one of the projects finished during Coronatime...all it took was a few yards of perfect Anna Maria Horner fabric for the back and this lady had a quilt to coordinate with her fabric mask!!!  Whoo hoo Tonya, looking great!

And what would the month of May be like without some new florals?  We've got this new collection by Robin Pickens for Moda, including an extra wide super soft rayon in aqua (2nd picture), the rest of the fabrics are standard weight cotton.

And these clear reds prints are a new vibrant collection for the reproduction room - these are "Scarlett" by Mary Koval for Windham Fabrics, reflective of the mid-1800's and a wonderful combination of prints and scale - perfect for any red and white quilt in your list of projects!

Strawberry season is almost here!  These fabrics definitely have me anticipating berry season here in Whatcom County!  And of course, it's May Day so flowers and floral lawns are right on point - these are some customer selections that have gone out the door recently.

Sewing masks from batik fabrics left a bunch of scraps perfect for a couple of sets of juggling balls to help shape future careers...and this gorgeous set of batik pillow cases left just enough scraps for a couple of face masks!
