2T Did you know? Project Linus

Did you know that Two Thimbles is a designated "drop-off" location for Project Linus quilts/blankets?

Project Linus is a non-profit organization that provides homemade blankets and quilts to children in need. If you're a "Blanketeer" for Project Linus, you may bring your completed quilts and blankets to Two Thimbles and we will get them to our area coordinator who will get them into the hands of children that need them!

If you are interested in becoming a Blanketeer, please visit the Project Linus website for information and requirements for all the specific details!

Small Finishes

It seems since the beginning of the year there has been one distraction or another that has kept me from moving forward with any big project starts.  It's never a lack of ideas, just time to focus and give some time to planning and choosing.  Although our recent late winter did create a bit of extra sewing time!  I hope you took advantage of those snow days too and have some recent finishes or exciting starts to get your sewing mojo happening for 2019!

We are working on some new class ideas and also gearing up for some new projects - here are a couple of our recent finishes!

Compass Bag pattern by Noodlehead
I really enjoy using these bag patterns designed by Anna Graham / Noodlehead.  Lots of details and well written instructions!
Tin-Cushion pattern from Heart to Hand
Another great pin cushion pattern from Heart to Hand!  This one includes patterns for 3 different pin cushions designs. In addition to the patterns, we've got lots of wool and ribbon to get your creative juices flowing and if our store sample happens to speak your language...well, we've got a kit for you too!!

Retreat Bag & New Fabric

https://emmalinebags.com/products/the-retreat-bag-pdf

We had a bit of fun sewing some new versions of the Emmaline retreat bag - it's hard to pick just one fabric combination, so it really is easier to make these bags in multiples so you can use all your favorite fabric choices!  We have the metal frames in stock for both size options and the pattern is a free tutorial on the Emmaline website.  We have lots of new cheerful fabric that will stitch up into some bright and fun bags to make for yourself or a lucky friend!

And... this is just a hint of some of the new fabrics we've added to the Repro Room....the results of our latest fabric shuffle shown below - but still a big work in progress!  This could become your latest  favorite hangout spot!  Our ever growing collection of reproduction fabrics has filled the space, but we figure there's always room for a few more bolts right?  Stop by soon and check out our new arrangement - we're still settling in, but we're getting to the fine-tuning stage and most of the tools and construction team have moved offsite again!
