Olmstead Place

Spring is on it's way and we are so looking forward to some brighter skies and more bounty in the gardens!  We have new fabrics and lots of new ideas to get you inspired for some spring sewing.

Unfortunately the current health threat in our state and across the globe is requiring us to alter our daily routines.  We want to reassure you that we are open for business and taking appropriate precautions here at Two Thimbles.  We understand that there are members of our community who are more at risk and we would like to protect everyone as best we can.

Super Bloom by Laundry Basket Quilts

Thank you for helping us keep a healthy environment!  Please stay home if you are ill and we understand if you are reluctant to leave home.  We will be happy to help keep you sewing - we can ship your purchases to you or deliver them to your car!  We will do our best to ensure that you can keep stitching during this unsettling time - as we all know sewing is therapy!

Stay healthy, enjoy the spring blooms and if in doubt, start a new project!

New Fabric

We've added some new heavier weight cotton and cotton/linen blends to our mix of canvas weight fabrics.  These are great for aprons, pillows, market bags and purses ....other home decor as well as additions to quilt projects to add additional texture and contrast.  A few of our linen blends have a bit of metallic as well for some extra splash!

Of course basics and inspirational prints are what makes another project come together right?  We've got some new additions in those categories as well.  A few are shown below - but some of our basics don't always make it to the photoshoot so there is certainly more options arriving that fit this description too.

Mostly Red and Blue

We've got a bunch of new stars, stripes and florals in all shades of blue and red!  They're all great choices for adding a pop of color or a splash of bright...fussy cutting florals or soft denim shades of background blue prints.  Of course it has us thinking of summer picnics and patriotic bunting too...

These fabrics shown are mostly from Moda Fabrics and combination of different collections designed by Minick and Simpson, French General and Primitive Gatherings - all playing well together!

We've got some great toweling from Moda too - and that makes great table runners and napkins either for dining on the deck or the picnic basket on the go.  Hope these fabrics get you inspired for some summer sewing!
