New Classes Added & Class Reminders


Calling all embroidery and embellishing fans!!  Cathy's back in the 2T Classroom with two different 3-month series classes:

First up, is the Garden Wreaths embroidery class!  For all of you that have been admiring Cathy's work on display here in the shop...this one's for you!  Cathy will be teaching traditional embroidery stitches, three-dimensional stitches and even some crayon tinting!  This class will be held the 3rd Wednesday of the month beginning February 20th, 10:30am - 1:30pm.  


Love wool and fun, fancy stitches?!  Join Cathy for this "Sue Spargo inspired" Woolie Birds class.  You will learn some new stitches and experiment with different foundation fabrics.  This is also a 3-month series to be held the 4th Friday of the month beginning February 22nd, 10:30am - 1:00pm.

Beginning Piecing with Jo Baner


I think the only thing better than receiving a lovingly, handmade quilt is giving one!  If you like to sew but have yet to try your hand at quilt making, now is the time!  Learn accurate and safe rotary cutting, color value, pressing vs. ironing, accurate 1/4" seam allowance and other quilt-piecing-basics in this two-part class with local artist and instructor, Jo Baner.  This two-part introduction to quilt piecing will have you well on your way to a completed quilt top and ready for more quilting activities!  Two 2-part sessions to choose from:

Mindful Mending with Kami Quessenberry

Learn to creatively repair and refresh your items that need mending (or find inspiration for your hand-stitching) in this class guided by Jenny Cardon's book, "Visible Mending".  You will learn stitchery and embroidery techniques that are great for revamping or repairing your favorite denim, sweaters and more.
