Organized for a moment!

Some days call for a bit of color-sorting...the task of organizing our fat quarters into types, color order, fabric collection, featured display, theme, etc....is endless but when we set up a new fixture and got all these 1800's color sorted it was photo worthy for a moment!  It is more of a color-sorted jumble now, but we know what the potential is now.  Kind of like that endless cycle of organizing your sewing space and destroying it in the midst of a creative streak.

1800's fat quarters freshly sorted

At the shop it seems we're all in the midst of pre-summer hectic with school graduations and last minute projects, summer travel plans in the making and gardening in full swing.  I scored this amazing tub of peonies for my trip to the east side for Memorial Day - bloom time there was delayed so it was perfect that one of my quilting connections just happens to be a peony grower!  We took a moment to visit this statue in Pendleton, and placed one salad plate sized bloom.

In the midst of all the activities a bit of sewing and plotting for future projects is always underway.  What is on your summer sewing list?!

Happy Stitching!
