What's new at Two Thimbles?
Although it may not feel like it here in Bellingham, summer is in full swing! We've been working on some fun projects and bringing in products designed to make the summer sewing process as smooth as can be, to keep you cool under the sun (or clouds!).
We have several new publications that would be a great addition to your beach bag. We recently received "Hidden Treasures: Quilts from 1600 to 1860" by Lori Lee and Kay Triplett. It's a lovely book full of rarely seen creations from the pre-Civil War era.
The newest Quiltmania addition is also now available. This book is entitled "Labors of Love" and highlights quilts created by the Secret Sewing Sisters. And if you're looking for something a little more unique, "Blended Embroidery" by Brian Haggard might be the right choice for you. It's a book that covers repurposing old textiles to create new treasures.
The Wildflower Cushion pattern was created by one of our recent teachers, Margaret Mew. Margaret is an Australian quilter who came to visit our store last month.
Our newest 3-Yard quilt design! Perfect for the kiddos in your life.
Some of our favorite notions that have recently found a place in our shop. We especially like the needle storage tubes which use a magnet to fan out sewing needles for super convenient selection. Hope you have a great time checking out the local quilt shops where-ever your summer travels take you. Come back and tell us about any new treasures you discover that have you excited to sew!
