Help us make some room for fresh new fabrics, and get a great deal while you're at it! This is the perfect time to find a quilt back or two!  We are ready to do some serious spring cleaning and move some older inventory out the door.   There will be over 1000 bolts with white tags, so plenty to choose from!

Free fabrics can be earned in multiples of 5 AND they must be marked with a white tag to qualify.

Here's your chance to recreate a favorite memory from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland!  The novel, written by Lewis Carroll in 1865 is marking 150 years in print ~ that's pretty remarkable don't you think?!   To participate, pop in to the shop, pick up 2 fat quarters, pay the $6.00 fee and go home and dream up something fabulous!  The details are up to you...one required fabric, one of your choice from the Alice in Wonderland collection from Windham Fabrics and it's all your imagination from there.  Have some fun creating and we'll plan the tea party...turn in date is December 1st to have items displayed in the shop!

We've got all of our regular inventory and we've been digging them out of every hiding spot - We plan to corral ALL our individual fat quarters in the classroom and it will be quite an impressive assortment!!

A Sweet Treat

Well, our Anniversary sale is off to a great start - maybe the good weather will hold off another day so we can stay inside and play with fabric?! If you haven't made it over to Two Thimbles yet, you should come by soon...our sale runs through today and you won't want to miss out on the fun!

Here is our newest pincushion...a sweet treat, if you ask me! These little 'chocolate pin keeps' were just too cute to pass up. We packaged up two colorways - one using a Civil War print, and another in a funky geometric fabric. The base is made of a faux leather we're now carrying- a great material for a handbag. These little treats are a snap to whip up, and would look just darling lined up in a little chocolate box...you can't have too many pincushions, right? To top it off, we added this vintage Whitman's sampler box to the photo...just the right touch, don't you think?

The samples below are from a class that we're offering in June- Judy Robertson of Just Imagination is coming on Saturday, June 9th to share some piecing secrets and techniques, in a project we're calling Sliver Inserts. Judy is a local artist who dyes her own fabric- and she'll be bringing some of her own pieces for a trunk sale! Her art is so inspiring that we've quickly filled the class- BUT we will have a waiting list for those of you who may be interested for a future date with Judy!

It's time to break up the summer routine, wouldn't you agree?? Our Super Summer Sale is coming up at the end of this week, and we will be celebrating what warm summer weather there has been... along with the anticipation of a lovely fall! Select seasonal fabric and more will be on sale, and there will be a special treat for each customer at check-out. Come join us on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday at regular store hours for this fun event!

On a related note, we are doing our not-so-spring cleaning a little late this year- we've done some serious rearranging of the store over the past week, so expect to be a little turned around when you visit! We're happy with the changes though; fresh ideas and layouts always provide new inspiration!
