Playing with fabric!

Here is a fun quilt using solids from a charm pack of the Denyse Schmidt collection - mixed with a bit of mushroom Kona, and a fun turquoise piping added to the binding.   We enjoy working with a variety of fabrics and styles - and this was a nice change of pace from some of our reproduction fabrics and other recent projects.

The linen and cotton blend prints are a great weight and texture for totes and purses.  We found a new purse pattern online that is a great size and keeps it nice and simple.  Check out the Phoebe Bag from Artsy-Craftsy Babe.

These two cotton chambray's are shot with silver and gold thread - perfect additions to glam up a quilt project or feature in a simple summer shirt?

And this fabric...is so amazing that you have to unroll the fabric to enjoy it's full fab-u-lous-ness!!  This was for sure, my favorite find at quilt market last fall.

Hope you find some time to sew in between the rainstorms!!
