Color club and fun!

We've added a few more color bundles of clear bright contemporary fabrics - a fun color-themed category is dictating our monthly selection and would make a great addition to your fabric collection, or a gift for a quilting friend.

We have been adding to our "wall of batiks" and if you haven't been in to admire the new arrangement  - you might be surprised about just how many bolts there are once they're all lined up together!

And our favorite store samples at the moment - some are new favorites and some are appearing finished  rather than tops only this year.  Ever have that happen?  Well there's still time to get something done for this season especially if you're hiding out from the heat these last days of summer.  This first project features the pattern Perfect Ten by Swirly Girls - it is a great fat quarter friendly project and versatile for alot of different fabric choices.

And these fun projects are perfect for fall decorating - a family portrait for the wall and a great throw size quilt combining some favorite spooky bright prints.

For those of you in our local area - we hope you found time to visit the quilts and other fun exhibits at he Northwest Washington Fair in Lynden.  Great to see all the talent showcased and congratulations to everyone that has a ribbon on their quilt!

Fresh colors and Cool Quilts

We have a fun new quilt up in the shop - it features fabric from the Forest Floor collection for Art Gallery fabrics, we really like this fresh take on some traditional flora and fauna!  The colors are a bit more vibrant in person a nice coral that is really fresh paired with shades of blues with a bit of charcoal mixed in.

And the great collection with gorgeous pheasants on a strong teal blue background and some soft peach or coral accents - this group is from Carolyn Konig who gave us a sneak peek at her collection when she visited us from Australia in early May.  A fun group with some fresh color and motif options.

Rounding out the 1800's fabrics with a few pieces from the Postage Stamp collection - these are unique prints and will be fun additions for fussy cutting or fabulous stoppers!
